Exclusive deantigeneration process
OSTEOXENON® is obtained from Bioteck®, a leading company in the field of biological production of bone substitutes, through the exclusive Zymo-Teck® enzymatic deantigenation process.
This advanced method of deantigenation is based on the use of the latest generation biotechnological processes: mixtures of lithic enzymes, with variable composition, deprive the animal bone of all the antigenic components, making it completely biocompatible.
The enzymes used work in aqueous solution at controlled temperatures.
The mineral component does not undergo any alteration, neither chemical nor physical.
Preservation of bone collagen
Grafting collagen into the site to be regenerated creates a precise biological condition: the osteoblasts themselves produce a collagen fiber which is then saturated with calcium minerals.
It is the same three-dimensional structure of collagen that allows the nucleation of the apatite bone crystals, through a physical phenomenon called epitaxy.
Type I bone collagen stimulates, at both the cell and subcellular levels, an extremely large number of processes involved in bone regeneration.
The presence of bone collagen in OX® is also demonstrated in polarized light: the collagen fibers, possessing a regular structure, have the characteristic refractance that makes them appear clearer.
